TRAFFIC ALERT and SAFETY REMINDER
The Contractor is reporting that a number of Kingwood residents are not following their City Approved traffic plan to reroute traffic for safety on the roads during their construction project along Highland Laurels.
Recently, a local resident was following the one-way signs, and another was not, resulting in almost a head on collision. Highland Laurels is officially a one-way street from west to east in the construction zone. Drivers going the wrong direction can be ticketed and will be liable for all damages resulting from an accident with another car, construction equipment and construction site features.
Attached is the traffic re-route information for your reference. The contractor traffic signs and devices have been tampered with in the last month. Signs and Barrels were laid down, moved, and taken.
Work on Highland Laurels directly will pick up next week with the larger excavator returning and deliveries of more of the 5’x8’ concrete box culverts for installation on that street. The open trench on Highland Laurels will be big enough and deep enough to claim a car. Avoid the area by using the detours.
